Souemoncho Night Art Print by Hasui

In Souemoncho Night, Hasui Kawase distils the atmosphere of an Osaka entertainment district into a study of light and reflection. Paper lanterns cast pools of warm amber across a rain-wet street, their glow mirrored in puddles below. The figures are small, anonymous, present only to anchor the scale of the scene.
